The Stone Cottage, run by lovely hostess Martha Swartzentruber, sits by a small pond on Lower Trail Rd in Dundee, Ohio. My husband and I had the chance to spend a weekend here in August 2019, and I instantly fell in love with the location.
This was our first time staying in Dundee, a lovely 15 minute drive northeast of Berlin.
There were Amish neighbors surrounding the cottage, and I spent much of my time on the front porch drinking my coffee watching beautiful horses and buggies wander by on the road before us. It was pure peace, and I loved every minute of our stay.
The cottage has 3 levels with the lower level containing the queen size bed.
The kitchen and living area is on the main level, and the upstairs holds a wonderful Jacuzzi tub complete with lights and incredible view.
In addition, Martha provides an amazing homemade breakfast for an additional charge of $10 per plate. I highly recommend this! My husband and I were so full after eating, we skipped lunch and didn’t need to eat again until later in the evening.
I’ve stayed many places on various trips to Amish Ohio, and Martha’s Stone Cottage is one of my favorites. 🙂 If you’d like to visit, please take a moment to visit the cottage’s website. (There is also another unit offered on the property.) In addition, you will find the cottage listed on airbnb in the Dundee, Ohio listings.
Until next time…
